As Dave Sees It!
As Framp Remembers It!
A driving day. We are now in Glendive, Montana where the current temperature feels like 103 degrees.
Cranky? You bet we are!!
But Not so cranky that we forgot Louis's birthday......Happy B-Day, Louis!
Montana is beautiful to dive through.

Day 29
As Dave Sees It!
As Framp Remembers It!
We had a lovely breakfast after sleeping in until 7:30. Lovely, lovely.
Then into the Sonata to take in the grandeur of Yellowstone Park.
We took the east side of the park today, seeing as how we had taken the west side yesterday. The high point was 8,8857 feet above sea level. Dave managed to get some snow off a snow pack! Cool. Here's a pic of Dave's balls.
We hiked one small boardwalk to see the mud pools. The smell of sulphur was pretty awful (it reminded Dave of the dioxide plant).
Quite a few of the drivers just stop in the middle of the road to get pictures and lots of the big animals walk on the road, so we were prepared for anything.
Well, almost anything....one dizzy driver stopped his car in the road, got out and walked about 100 paces away from his car. He didn’t even try to pull over to the nonexistent shoulders. Truly amazing!! Two legged wild life. This was the bear he was trying to take a photo of. I had to really zoom to get this.
We stood at the 45th parallel! We can do it in Ingleside, too.
Off to Glendale, Montana....Well that's if we make it. We may stop earlier!!

Day 28
As Dave Sees It!
As Framp Remembers It!
We left Montpelier, Idaho and headed north for Jackson “.....We got married in fever, Hotter that a pepper sprout....”. Unfortunately, we were too early to see the cowboy dinner show.
We made really good time and were in Yellowstone National Park in time to see the 1:08 eruption of Old Faithful.
The drive from Old Faithful to our campsite outside the north entrance of the Park was fraught with danger .... from bad drivers, who can’t stay on their side of the yellow lines. There were no shoulders on either side of the road.

Dave was pretty fried by the time we made it to camp.
We had a lovely fire. We have not had many because of the high fire risks in so many of the states that we have been though.
Tomorrow, back into the park with the car to test ourselves against the two legged wild life.

Day 27
As Dave Sees It!
As Framp Remembers It!
Last night our hosts decided to set off fireworks in the RV Park directly in front of the Enterprise... My kind of people. It made sleeping a tad difficult. It was a kind of funny, in a twisted sort of a way.
A driving day today. We made it to Montpelier, Idaho, just north of the Utah border and west of Wyoming.
A good day.

Day 26 - Part Two
As Dave Sees It!
As Framp Remembers It!
We decided to take a trip out to Bryce Canyon.....30 miles can provide a whole new climate. What awesome sights awaited us.
We dropped the car in the parking lot and took a shuttle bus to Bryce Point, then we hiked a small rim trail, only about 1.3 miles down to the next shuttle stop.

Day 26
As Dave Sees It!
As Framp Remembers It!
It's a rainy day, it's a rainy day, it's a rainy day and I can't go out and play......
If the rain lets up a little in Panguish, Utah, Dave and I will try to go to Bryce Canyon.... I may post more later.

Day 25
As Dave Sees It!
It had some areas of flora that was fantastic.
As Framp Remembers It!
Zion Canyon. Beautiful but there were not all that many accessible trails. The other national parks had a lot of paved trail because of the Americans with Disabilities Act of the 1990’s. This park was more rugged. However there was a shuttle bus to take people around the park to all the trailheads and give a canned , though informative, talk. We did two of the easier hikes right after we had some expensive chow!It had some areas of flora that was fantastic.
Back home for a nap and dinner. What will tomorrow bring?
